Rick Ross Looks Forward to Returning to Vancouver After Music Festival Incident

American rapper Rick Ross is recovering after an incident at a music festival in Canada. The altercation occurred during his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Viral footage from the event shows Ross in a confrontation with a male festival attendee. The situation escalated when the man threw a punch at Ross, leading to a physical altercation.

Another video shows an individual unresponsive on the ground, reportedly having been knocked unconscious during the incident.

Despite multiple media inquiries, neither Ignite Music Festival nor Vancouver Police have commented on the matter.

On July 2, 2024, Rick Ross posted a photo on Instagram of himself in front of a jet, captioned, “Vancouver it was fun, till next time,” without mentioning the assault.

Later, Ross spoke to TMZ, assuring fans that no members of his team were seriously injured. He also remarked, “Vancouver is a beautiful city, and I’m looking forward to returning”.

In a sarcastic response, rapper 50 Cent addressed the situation involving Rick Ross with a video statement. He said, “Hey everyone. I just saw something pretty unfortunate that happened in Canada, and I hope that guy made it home safely. Maybe now he’ll have a new perspective on how to handle himself out in the world. You know, that part where the young guy made that move and got knocked out—well, that’s not a reflection on him but more on his crew.”
