John Cena Announces Retirement from Wrestling

John Cena, widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, has announced his retirement from professional wrestling to focus on the World Wrestling Events Competition.

This unexpected news was revealed during his appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event in Canada.

At 47 years old, Cena, who began his wrestling career in 2006, stated that his final in-ring match will take place in 2025.

Since joining WWE in 2001, John Cena has become a legendary figure, capturing the World Championship 16 times.

During the WWE Money in the Bank event, Cena addressed his fans, saying, “Tonight I officially announce my retirement from WWE”.

Though this announcement saddened his fans, Cena reassured them that he will continue to be involved with the World Wrestling Event.

In his retirement speech, he reflected, “I’ve been in WWE for over two decades, witnessing tremendous success as we have now. WWE is undeniably the hottest ticket in town, but I’ve also faced genuine adversity, where no one knew my name, no one wanted to be my friend, and only the most dedicated and hardcore fans stood by me”.

He added, “One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that whether WWE is at its peak or facing challenges, Canadians always show up”.

Cena also discussed his upcoming farewell events, revealing that Royal Rumble 2025, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 will be his final appearances, all scheduled for 2025.

In the early 2000s, Cena gained popularity as the character “Doctor of Thuganomics”. Now a major name in wrestling history, he has portrayed various characters both on-screen and off.

Aside from wrestling, Cena has made a mark as an actor, starring in prominent films such as “Blockers” and “The Suicide Squad”. He has also appeared in the “Fast & Furious” franchise and had cameo roles in the critically acclaimed films “Barbie” and “Argyle”.
